Nightmarish video captures mom of four being cut out of belly of 16-foot python

A mom of four went missing in Indonesia only to be found swallowed whole by a 16-foot python the next day, according to reports.

Nightmarish video and photos show the harrowing moment the fully clothed body of Farida, 45, was cut out of the reticulated snake.

Farida, from Kalempang village in South Sulawesi province, disappeared the night of June 6. During a search for her the next day, her husband, Noni, “found her belongings… which made him suspicious. The villagers then searched the area. They soon spotted a python with a large belly,” village chief Suardi Rosi told AFP.

Two men peel off the skin of a python on the ground that has seriously extended belly. The body of an Indonesian woman who had gone missing was discovered inside.

They cut open the python’s stomach and “Farida’s head was immediately visible,” Suardi said.

The reticulated python, considered the world’s longest snake, is indigenous to Indonesia and other parts of Southeast Asia. Its sharp curved teeth allow it to squeeze its prey to death before swallowing it whole.

It is rare for it pythons to kill people, though several individuals have died that way in recent years in Indonesia.
