Ex-Knicks stars distraught while watching ugly Game 6 loss to Pacers

Knicks legends couldn’t hide their emotions as they watched their former side scuffle.

A plethora of iconic ex-Knicks players — John Starks, Larry Johnson, Latrell Sprewell, Marcus Camby and Stephon Marbury — were in attendance at Madison Square Garden for a watch party during the Knicks’ 116-103 Game 6 loss to the Pacers Friday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

The ESPN broadcast showed them enthusiastically cheering during a neck-and-neck first half, but that soon changed as the Knicks unraveled in the second half and failed to close out the series.

ESPN later showed Marbury sporting a befuddled look before putting his hands on his head in frustration.

Starks could be seen waving his arms and yelling at the video scoreboard, on which the game was being shown, while Johnson stared blankly next to him.

At Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Walt “Clyde” Frazier, who has been the Knicks’ longtime color commentator on MSG Network, and Allan Houston, who now serves as the team’s vice president of player leadership and development, were seen with distraught expressions on the broadcasts.

The Knicks will head back home to Madison Square Garden for Game 7 on Sunday afternoon.

Ample team legends will certainly be expected to be in house, as they consistently have been throughout the postseason.

Marbury recently opened up with The Post’s Jenna Lemoncelli about what it’s been like reconnecting with other team alumni after a photo of them went viral.

“It’s so powerful,” Marbury told The Post last week. “I mean the picture, the presence within itself of so much basketball, so much knowledge so many baskets, so many assists, fouls — so many things that went on in playing a game that so many people love here in New York.

“Bernard King and myself were talking about being from New York and playing for New York. It’s kind of like what Wes [Knicks executive vice president William Wesley] said, he said, ‘you’re a part of the cloth of New York Knicks, so it’s only right for you to be here helping cheer the young fellas on.’”

Current star Jalen Brunson praised the former players’ impact on the team.

“Having the Knicks legends around is special. It’s really cool to see,” Brunson said earlier in the series. “They come out and show support. It’s not just one game. They’ve been to a lot of games. They’re not just sitting there drinking, having some popcorn. They’re up yelling, screaming, into the game. It’s really cool to see those guys there. We definitely appreciate it.”
