Contestants on Donald Trump’s ‘The Apprentice’ were made to get STD tests

From the boardroom…to the bedroom?

While one may expect contestants on dating shows like “The Bachelor,” to undergo STD testing, the hopefuls on Donald Trump’s reality show “The Apprentice” also had to get swabbed.

Variety co-editor-in-chief Ramin Setoodeh’s new book  “Apprentice in Wonderland: How Donald Trump and Mark Burnett Took America Through the Looking Glass,” reveals that while Trump is a famous germaphobe, the hit show’s producer Mark Burnett was the one who was concerned about extracurricular activities on set.

“[He] wanted to make sure he wouldn’t be held legally liable for anything that was shared after the boardroom closed for the night,” writes Setoodeh.

Contestant Bowie Hogg, who appeared on the first season told him, “It was a funnel that they stick in there.”

“Not to be crude, but they inserted it in your penis and they turned it and scraped it and pulled it out,” Hogg recounted. “And it was the most painful thing I’ve experienced in my whole life.”

Hogg sadly only made it to Episode Four before being “fired” by the future POTUS.

Maybe Burnett was wise to be wary. While the show was not made for hook-ups, Don Jr. and Danity Kane star Aubrey O’Day had an affair after meeting when she was a contestant on Season 5 and he was married to ex wife Vanessa Trump.

Contestants for “The Bachelor,” must take STD tests as part of the vetting process to be on the show.

In 2018, Page Six exclusively reported that stars on a number of Bravo’s reality shows have to sign an “STD clause” promising not to sue the network if they catch something.

During Stormy Daniels’ recent testimony during Trump’s hush money case, the porn star said that the former prez asked her several times about STDs, saying “What about testing? Do you worry about STDs?”

Trump also famously talked STDs during an appearance on the Howard Stern show in 1997. He called his efforts to avoid contracting infections, his “personal Vietnam.”

“It’s amazing, I can’t even believe it. I’ve been so lucky in terms of that whole world. It is a dangerous world out there,” he said. “It’s like Vietnam, sort of. It is my personal Vietnam. I feel like a great and very brave solider.”

He went on to dub vagina’s “landmines” and say, “there’s some real danger there.”
