Model Vanna White reveals she had fears going into her new partnership with Ryan Seacrest. Seacrest is taking over as host for the long-running show Wheel of Fortune. The show’s longtime host, Pat Sajak, decided to retire this year. NBC then replaced Sajak with Seacrest to continue the show’s run.
Vanna White says she was worried she wouldn’t click with Seacrest. White has been a part of Wheel of Fortune since Pat Sajak was the host. However, Vanna decided not to leave the show as Sajak retired. Vanna explained that although she’d known Ryan for about 20 years, she didn’t know if they’d be compatible onstage. Working with the same person for so long meant she didn’t have to get used to how anyone else worked and acted on stage. However, despite her initial fears, Vanna says Ryan’s doing a great job in the role.
Seacrest’s first televised episode as host of the show comes out Monday, September 9th. Although Vanna White is currently signed up for this next season, her future on the show is up in the air. Vanna had a contract dispute last summer, putting her future with the show up in the air. Ultimately, the two sides came to a deal and she’s staying for at least one more season. No other news is known about the future of the show currently. However, many fans of the show are eager to see how Seacrest takes on his new role as host.
