Uber driver goes viral on TikTok for karaoke singalongs

She turns her drives into discos.

Florida Uber driver Linda Swann Fox surprises riders with karaoke singalongs that hit all the right notes on social media.

The viral videos show the 63-year-old Tampa resident, who goes by LyricswithLinda on TikTok, jamming to “Low” by Flo Rida to “9 to 5” by Dolly Parton with her delighted passengers.

“I realized that when people got in my car, we weren’t going to agree on religion or politics, but music’s a uniter, music touches everybody’s soul,” Fox told The Post.

“I thought ‘I really want to make a strong connection with people,’ so I decided to put lights and cameras [in the car] and on the backseat, I took a little shoe divider and put microphones, glasses, a Michael Jackson glove, all different kinds of props, and instruments like a cowbell and tambourine.”

The spunky senior, who naturally has earned a 5-star rating on Uber, allows clients to pick their song from a Spotify playlist, and has her backseat set up with a tablet, which displays its lyrics.

“You put your song in, and then the lyrics come up and it plays through the car and I get to driving,” she explained.

She said her theme song is “Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)” by C+C Music Factory — and the 2023 post of her singing it with her elated customers garnered 17 million views.

In the clip, she surprises the unsuspecting passengers with the karaoke and even pulls out a small microphone and shouts “Give me the music” into it, while they erupt in cheers.

TikTokers marveled over the video.

“I would give her 10 stars & instant tip,” said @thegirlfrombrussels.

“Imagine you’re drunk & ready to pass out, & this ANGEL picks you up,” gushed @naya_4238.

Another even said they would travel to Fox’s town just to catch a ride with her: “I’m determined to go to Tampa now to have this lady Uber us,” @siennalwoods wrote.

Fox said 80% of people want to sing.

“I put four men in my car who were all doctors from the Middle East. The next thing I know they’re grabbing tambourines and they’re all singing,” she recalled.

She said the most popular song selection by far is “Don’t Stop Believin’” by Journey, which is No. 32 on Billboard’s 100 Greatest Karaoke Songs of All Time.

Fox’s road to becoming a ride-share driver began in 2021, when she relocated to Florida.

The Kentucky native, who was a registered lab technician, “walked away from everything” in her home state for a fresh start.

“So I thought, ‘I’m coming to Florida, I want to do something fun.’ So I decided to be an Uber driver because I wanted to learn where the nice restaurants were, where the fun places were, where the beach is,” she said. “Make a little money and get to meet people.”

She has not yet cashed in on her social media fame because she “doesn’t know how to tap in.”

So for now, she just wants to spread joy one Uber ride at a time.

“Oh honey, I’ve taken them home with me. One guy lived with me for nine months. He’s a recovering drug addict. I got him in college,” she said.

“I also go around to bus stops and find people with kids or the elderly and I give them a free ride. This is my way of giving back.”
