The finale of Tell Me Lies hit Hulu just hours ago, and many immediately tuned in to see where things ended up for Stephen, Lucy, Pippa, Diana, Oliver, Bree, Wrigley, and more.

We watched the finale and have lots of thoughts about what we’d like to see, should the show get renewed for a third season.

1. Will Bree go through with her wedding, and how does she react after hearing Stephen’s message!?
In the final moments of the episode, Bree listens to the recording Stephen made back in college with Evan confessing he had sex with Lucy. Bree obviously had not heard this information until her wedding day, and is shocked. The show ended with this major cliffhanger.
2. Who kept calling Bree ahead of her wedding?
There are some prevailing theories online about who was calling Bree leading up to her wedding. The only clue we got was it was from a private number. Theories include Oliver, Marianna, or a family member from Bree’s past.
Creator Meagan Oppenheimer revealed that we WILL learn this info in a later season, and it’s “not Stephen and it’s not Oliver.”
3. Will Oliver’s story continue?
Meagan also addressed this question, saying, “I don’t think so. I think Tom [Ellis] was just wanting to do one season. I think that we wrapped up his storyline in a way that really worked for me. I don’t know where else we would go after that with him. I think we could bring Marianne back, maybe. There’s a lot more story to tell with her. But I think we kind of learned that Oliver is so broken and hollow by the end of this season that I’m ready for Bree to be done with him.”
4. Have Lucy and Stephen been continually hooking up?
In season one, fans might recall when Max remarked that Lucy saw her college friends frequently. However, when Lucy sees Pippa later that day, Pippa remarks that it’s been a while since they’ve seen one another. This has led many to believe that perhaps Lucy has been spending time with Stephen and just telling Max it was college friend get togethers.
5. How do Pippa and Diana get together/reconnect?
Pippa and Diana are together in the 2015 timeframe. How do they reacquaint with one another, and did anything ever happen between them in college?
6. Lucy’s “It’s Been Four Years” line
Fans online clocked something Lucy said all the way back in season one at one of Bree and Evan’s pre-wedding events. She commented to Pippa that her and Stephen had been over for four years. However, that would be 2011 in the timeline, yet their college experience is currently set in 2008. What happens in 2011?
7. How does Stephen end up with Lydia, and is he still with her at the time of Bree and Evan’s wedding?
Stephen ends up engaged to Lydia, which we find out during Evan and Bree’s engagement party in 2015. However, fans have noted that in one of the recent 2015 moments, Stephen claims that Lydia is back in the hotel room. However, when seen in the hotel room, Stephen looks to be alone and the other side of the bed appears untouched. How do Lydia and Stephen even end up together in the first place, and are they still engaged?
8. Will there ever be justice for Macy!?
Will there ever be justice for Macy!? Will Stephen ever be held accountable for Macy’s death from back in season one?
9. Will future seasons show more of the 2015 timeline?
Meagan was asked if she envisioned more 2015 and less 2008 going forward.
She said, “I did map that out way in advance when I just thought about what the structure of the show was. And I thought, we’ll get more and more of the future as time goes on. I think by the third season, we will still have some 2008 because there’s stuff that we have to wrap up there. But I think it would be a little bit shifted in the sense that there will probably be more 2015 than 2008.”
10. Will Pippa get back with Wrigley after the death of his brother?
Something tells us that Pippa will stay with Wrigley for a time after his brother’s death. The scene with her listening to the voicemail he left her was really powerful, and there’s clearly love for him there.
