Selena Gomez went out of her way to surprise some fans who invited her to their Volleyball game. On August 30th, Telluride Middle/High School in Colorado shared on Instagram a handwritten sign from the team’s coach, which read, “Selena Gomez, please sing the National Anthem @ one of [our] home games: Fri 6:00 pm; Sat 1:00.” The poster was signed, “THS Volleyball Team.”. Selena was in Colorado to attend the Telluride Film Festival to support her upcoming film, “Emilia Perez.”. However, Selena made time to surprise her fans. A clip of Gomez walking into the school’s gymnasium saying, “I saw the sign, so I had to come by.”.
Gomez did not perform the national anthem at the game as asked on the flyer. However, fans were more than happy to have her there in the first place. The rest of the pictures show the actress posing for photos with the team and signing autographs in the gym. A few of Selena’s famous friends praised the singer for her kindness towards the fans. Her costar Saldaña wrote, “The kindest heart indeed.” Ashley Park also chimed in, saying, “This is so sweet,”. Selena’s boyfriend, Benny Blanco, also commented with heart and heart-eye emojis. Overall, that day will be something those fans will never forget.
