Scottie Scheffler’s unreal ‘first hole as father’ at PGA Championship

Being a father may have made Scottie Scheffler an even more unstoppable golfer somehow.

Scheffler returned from his time away — while wife Meredith gave birth to their first child, Bennett, — with an amazing start to the 2024 PGA Championship.

After a perfect drive up the right side, Scheffler holed out from 169 yards away on the first hole at Valhalla Golf Club to open with an eagle at the second major of the season.

“His first hole as a father is a memorable one,” Jim Nantz exclaimed on the broadcast.

Scheffler gave a wry smile before briefly celebrating with his caddie, Ted Scott.

The ball landed right in front of the hole and one-hopped into the cup.

Scheffler is coming off winning his second Masters last month and is the favorite to win the PGA Championship.
