Carlos Alcaraz defeats Alexander Zverev for first French Open title

Carlos Alcaraz has conquered the clay.

After trailing two sets to one against Alexander Zverev, Alcaraz rallied to win the 2024 French Open for his first victory at Roland Garros, 6-3, 2-6, 5-7, 6-1, 6-2.

The victory marks the third career Grand Slam title for the 21-year-old.

He won last year’s Wimbledon and won the 2022 U.S. Open.

Zverev has yet to win a Grand Slam.
