Adam Brody and Leighton Meester are the couple that 2000′s kids could only dream of! Seth Cohen and Blair Waldorf getting married? It’s something out of a fanfiction, yet these two actors prove themselves to be more in love every day.
The 44-year-old actor appeared on Dax Shepard‘s Armchair Expert podcast on Monday (September 16) to discuss what it’s been like working with his wife both on set and off.

Adam and Leighton first began dating in 2013 and were married the next year. Now, they have two children: a daughter who’s nine and a son who’s four. Parenting their kids isn’t where the teamwork stops.
“Everything is run through each other. We’re each other’s manager. We also have the same two agents,” Adam explained, going even further to remind fans that the couple have done multiple projects together.
From Leighton’s show Single Parents to the feature film River Wild, they’ve been in a handful of movies and TV shows alongside one another, but Adam’s real praise comes from Leighton being, “charmingly aloof to the business.”
While Adam shared that Leighton isn’t as familiar with big names like he is, he went on to compliment her for it, saying, “it doesn’t diminish her art. That’s not where she’s focusing, so she has that outsider quality and she can come in but she’s such an artist. She’s a poet, she has a depth and a read on material that is always illuminating and has a great radar. And so she can still get at the heart of something, a script, no problem, but it’s for me to look at the cover letter and go, ‘You’re doing this or not.’”
Adam spoke about picking projects they both read as well, sharing, “Before we even have read it, I’m like, ‘Oh, these names, these are good names, you probably wanna be involved,’ [or], ‘I haven’t heard of these names, sounds sketchy. Give it a read.’”
