October 16, 2024– Former One Direction band member, Liam Payne, has suddenly passed away at the age of 31. The news first shocked fans who initially believed that the news was a hoax. However, as more details were revealed, it seemed as though the singer died unexpectedly.
The singer had taken to social media in March to promote a new song earlier this year, in March.

As other outlets have reported, Payne passed away after falling from a hotel balcony. As noted in this article from TMZ Payne was staying in Buenos Aires at a hotel and seemingly fell from his balcony. His room was on the third floor of the hotel, in which he was reportedly staying at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel.
Alleged claims from earlier in the day claimed that Payne was acting volatile in which allegations surrounding his behavior that day include him “smashing his laptop” and having to be “carried” back to his hotel room as TMZ reported.

This X user also claimed that a mutual friend in Argentina at the same hotel alleged that Payne “just jumped” off of his balcony.

Other tweets from the same X user claimed that he was allegedly “high” and acting “highly abnormal” in the lobby of the hotel, which seems to line up with TMZ’s reports of the former One Directioner acting volatile.
The X user also claimed that it did not look like he was in a “good place,” likely referring to his mental state.
There is no concrete evidence to support this alleged claim as his death has not been deemed accidental or intentional yet. Some details remain unclear.

As the TMZ article points out, Payne and his girlfriend- Kate Cassidy- had gotten to Argentina on September 30th.
The incident allegedly happened around 5 pm in Buenos Aires today.

Cassidy reportedly left two days earlier, alone, according to this report by Page Six.
The pair had allegedly spent 2 weeks there together and she showed fans she was leaving for her home in Florida in a TikTok video posted recently (@kateecass).
